On 14th of March our team members Tanel Kerikmäe and Liisi Jürgen gave insightful presentations at the anniversary conference of the Estonian Lawyers’ Association. The conference was co-organized with TalTech in honour of the union’s 35th birthday.
The conference was dedicated to the topic of artificial intelligence and how artificial intelligence affects legal education. In his presentation, Tanel talked about the use cases of new technology and the limits of its permissibility. Tanel also gave an overview of the future role of a lawyer and how the use of new technologies in legal practice should be reflected in legal technology.
In her presentation, Liisi talked about whether we are ready to use artificial intelligence wisely. Liisi gave an overview of various technologies, that already have a certain independence, and the importance of digital capability to use these types of technologies.
After the presentations, Tanel and Liisi also took part in panel discussions where, among other topics, the responsibility and use of artificial intelligence was discussed.
